In Peter Tunney’s new Art Basel 2019 exhibition titled “REDACTED”, Tunney delivers an evolved body of work that is a clear distinction from the whimsical, lavish works that Tunney has gained notoriety for since 1987, when Tunney first declared himself an artist.

TEMPUS FUGIT, Time Flies in Latin, is my newest exhibition inside the Wynwood Walls. The show is a cornucopia of oddities and artworks collected and created over the last 50 years, integrated with 31 new works created specifically for TEMPUS FUGIT.

Gigantic 15 ft. chandeliers, massive oil paintings, two-ton elephants, lamps, headboards, wallpaper torn right off the walls, and signs are all raw materials for the artist to reimagine and up-cycle into lasting works of art.

Tunney turns trash into treasure with this found objects show. Mediums include but are NOT limited to: airplane wings, car hoods, heavy bags, refrigerator doors, guitar cases, boat parts, basketball hoops, cereal boxes cigarette cartons and more.

DICTIONARY DAZE is a series of travelling shows, visiting schools across the country. The once experiment has blossomed into a full fledged curriculum integrated into the art programs at many schools. Pieces from the show can still be seen in Miami, New York, and various galleries all over the world.
